CHARKINS + PANTO + VILLEREUSE Vintage Pocket Watch 17 jewels 。My late grandfather was a watch collector.  He sold off his entire collection 1 piece at a time, BUT kept THIS watch.  Unfortunately, i never got to ask him \"why??!!\" - so here it is - in hopes that someone can identify the watch  and hopefully has an interest in adding it to their collection.   Seems like it would be appropriate as a pendant watch as well. The ONLY thing i know is that he traveled to Bern, Switzerland i believe in 1973, and brought it back from his trip.  on the outside cover, a scene showing 2 women and a man dressed in native folk attire with a man playing a Balalaika (native Russian Musical Instrument) Manual movement - stem wide and stem set After winding - watch runs smoothly - second hand moves freely.    That said - sold absolutely AS IS - given its age On the inside - watch face reads : CHARKINS    17 jewels Unbreakable Mainspring INCABLOC On the inside of the case back it reads:  VILLEREUSE WATCH CO Swiss Base Metal MOVEMENT: Panto Watch Co Seventeen 17 Jewels Unadjusted Swiss  so there you have it!  An interesting combo, to say the least. This vintage pocket watch by CHARKINS features a rare combination of PANTO and VILLEREUSE designs, with a mechanical manual movement and 17 jewels. The Swiss-made timepiece has a yellow gold case color, ivory dial color, and a 12-hour dial. It is not water-resistant and does not come with any papers, service records, or original box. This unique vintage piece is perfect for collectors or
