Authentic 1970s L.L. Bean \"Maine Hunting Shoe\" tall-shaft duck boots. These are incredibly rare, true vintage heritage pieces hand-crafted in Freeport, Maine, featuring the iconic 1970s block-text rubber heel label and the classic woven interior canvas tag. Unlike modern pairs, these feature the extra-tall shaft with classic brass eyelets and speed hooks for an amazing vintage aesthetic and ultimate weather protection. Details: Era: 1970s (Features the vintage \"Maine Hunting Shoe\" block logo on heel) Made In: USA (Freeport, Maine) Sole: Iconic chain-link tread pattern with minimal wear Hardware: Original solid brass speed hooks and eyelets Color: Rich dark brown leather with classic matte dark brown rubber bottoms Size & Fit: Stamped size 7 on the sole. Fit Note: True to vintage L.L. Bean sizing, these were designed to be worn with thick wool socks and run roomy. They will easily fit a modern Women’s 8 to 8.5 (or a Men\'s 7). Condition: Excellent vintage condition! The leather is wonderfully supple with beautiful natural character, no dry rotting, and no cracks in the rubber. The chain soles are incredibly crisp with tons of life left. Clean interior. A gorgeous piece of New England history that is fully ready to wear!
